Meet the Founder
Carly Tolhurst
RN | Medical Aesthetician | Owner
Carly Tolhurst is a Registered Nurse and the founder of EmmRey Medical Aesthetics, bringing over two decades of healthcare experience and a deeply rooted passion for patient care, wellness, and aesthetic medicine.
Originally from Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Carly built her life in Quesnel, where her strong connection to community and family continues to influence her approach to care.
She began her career in healthcare in 1997 as a nurse’s aide and mental health worker, spending over 16 years developing a strong clinical foundation and a deep understanding of patient-centered care. She later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse in 2014.
Carly’s nursing experience spans multiple areas of care, including post-anesthetic recovery, medical-surgical nursing, Patient Care Coordination, and Nursing Support Services. She also served as Health Director for the City of Quesnel, reflecting her leadership and commitment to community health.
With a longstanding passion for skin health and aesthetics, Carly brings together medical expertise and a refined, results-driven approach to treatment. Her vision was to create a space where advanced aesthetic treatments are delivered with clinical precision, while maintaining a calm, supportive, and elevated client experience.

EmmRey Medical Aesthetics was founded as a reflection of both purpose and personal inspiration. Named after Carly’s daughter, Emma Rey, the clinic represents strength, individuality, and care at its core.
Today, EmmRey is a boutique-style medical aesthetics clinic that blends medical integrity with a refined, elevated experience.
